All U.S costumers will get a free standard shipping with no purchase minimum.
Both Prime and Non-Prime members are eligible for the offer.
The promotion is effective starting today.
As the company had announced today, it will remove the shipping charges and made free deliveries available on “hundreds of millions” of items on sale for a limited time.
“This holiday, customers can enjoy free shipping with no minimum purchase amount on orders that will arrive in time for Christmas, including items from Amazon’s expertly curated Gift Guides across electronics, fashion, home, and toys,” said Doug Herrington, Senior Vice President of North American Retail at Amazon
Commonly, Amazon set a minimum spend of $25 to be eligible for free delivery.
Amazon will keep the offer until it can't deliver items in time for Christmas using free delivery, which takes 5 to 8 business days.
This action looks like a reaction to the other competitor "Target", that usually offer a free two-day shipping on $35 minimum order has lunch a free two-day shipping with no minimum spend for everyone from Nov. 1 to Dec. 22.
It seems like Amazon is doing everything it can to boosting sales in the final quarter of the year even it means double the delivery costs.
